Most Productive: The Generic Tribe - Six albums and still the same lineup?  That is a monumental accomplishment any scumbag A&R would froth at the mouth over.  Generic Tribes' music could be described as Bob Dylan tea-bagging David bowie while listening to Tupac on acid.  Does that mean anything? You betcha.  Take a listen.

Brace yourself for some weird, innovative, retro pop. Starting with a palette that is reminiscent of 50s and 60s pop turned on its side, infused with off-color wit and clever mischief, touching the world of indie pop but yet placing itself outside any particular genre, The Generic Tribe has an unbelievable knack for capturing a wild, rowdy and spastic genius. With a broad range of echoes from Ween to Talking Heads, their music is basically the equivalent of the fizzy, crackling candy, Poprocks. What that candy did for your mouth, this music does the same for your mind.

This mysterious group from Houston, Tex., seems to record every musical idea that bounces between their ears. Not content with settling on a specific genre or style, their extensive acid-tinged output includes music that ranges from psychedelia to rockabilly, only to be interrupted with hip-hop breaks and Middle Eastern chants in a somewhat confounding stuff-it-all-in-there approach. Their sixth release, Ambidextrous Lucid Pony, will be released in 2006.

The Generic Tribe often referred to by their loyal fan base as ' G Tribe', have achieved the marvelous feat of producing 6-self released albums.  Most bands personal relationships barely suffice the release of one.  True to their name - the Generic Tribe's songs vary in giant pendulum swings between folk, hip-hop, surf, and countless other styles.  Expect infectious melodies and a very fun show.  They bring it all to Helios back patio at 7:25.
